Do I need to pay for the AI models separately?

Yes — agents run with your accounts and API keys (Claude, OpenAI, etc.). Mastery HQ is the environment; the model usage is billed by your providers under your existing plans. The Usage widget tracks activity per agent.

Claude Code, Codex, Cursor Agent, Gemini CLI, Aider, GitHub Copilot CLI, OpenCode, any OpenRouter model, and the built-in Hermes orchestrator. Details.

Is my code or API key sent to Mastery HQ’s servers?

No. Keys, prompts, transcripts, and layouts stay on your PC; prompts travel only to the model providers you configured. Where your data lives.

Is it safe to show Mastery HQ on a live stream?

With Streaming Mode on, yes: the app marks itself live, masks API keys and secrets everywhere they render, loads your streaming layout, and can jump OBS to a privacy scene when something sensitive opens. Streaming Mode.

The workspace, layouts, and offline voice dictation work without a connection. Agents need whatever connectivity their providers require.
